Just Do It

By Asher Intrater

One of the secrets to our daily walk of faith is simply to do the will of God. No excuses. "Just Do It!" This is the opposite from the common attitude of "If it feels good, do it."  Doing what is right usually doesn't feel good at all. Often sinning and being selfish feels very good at the time.

Luke 9:23
Whoever desires to come after Me must deny himself, take up his cross daily…

"Are you kidding? Deny myself?" Most people are much more inclined to indulge themselves than deny themselves. And then we say, "I feel a peace about it."  Denying ourselves is the first step to following after Yeshua. It means saying "No" to pride, lust, laziness, worry, etc.

Yeshua told us to pray, "Your will be done on earth…" – Matthew 6:10.  That needs to start with each one of us, not with someone else. We each have responsibility to do God's will in our own life.

Matthew 7:21
Not everyone who calls Me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Yeshua went on to say that one who does the will of God is like a man who builds his house on rock, while one who "hears" only without doing is like a foolish man who built on sand (Matthew 7:24, 26). Which one are you?  Which one am I?

Prayer Warriors

by Francis Frangiapane

Jesus told a parable to show that "at all times [men] ought to pray and not to lose heart" (Luke 18:1-8).  Most of the things I pray for I have to persevere and pray through to get the answer. God desires me to become like Jesus, so he arranges battles that are character-forming. Not only will they ultimately change the world around me, but they'll change me first.

When we picture a prayer warrior, we usually envision a great-aunt or grandmother. They are not guessing about little Johnny's future; they are at the throne of God creating his future in prayer. They are not wondering if Mary is going to make it; they are praying her through to victory. They do not have time to lament Harry's drinking problem; they are "storming heaven" to see him delivered.

Prayer warriors are the most frightening, powerful, demon-chasing, world-moving beings on earth. In truth, they are co-creators with God! They never wonder about the future because they are too busy creating it. Prayer warriors are positioned by God to stand in faith for their families and churches and cities. Prayer is stronger than kings and mightier than armies. Prayer is the most powerful force on earth.

There was a time when that great-aunt or grandmother was younger. She was just like you, and God showed her the needs around her. His grace came, and she made a decision to pray. She did not start off strong, but she became strong. Now it is your turn to make that decision to be a prayer warrior.

Hawking Boycotts Israel

England's Guardian, a very anti-Israel publication, is conducting a poll after world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking decided to boycott a conference hosted by Israeli President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem.

As the Guardian puts it, "Hawking's decision marks another victory in the campaign for divestment and sanctions targeting Israeli academic institutions."

Take a few seconds to cast your "NO" vote, stating that you do not support Hawking's decision.  Right now the poll is overwhelmingly YES; the poll will close in just a few hours!

Anglican Archbishop

Pray for Justin Welby, the new Anglican Archbishop. He is a former businessman and member at evangelical Brompton Church in London, who quickly rose to church leadership, and recently has discovered that he had a Jewish paternal grandfather.

We look forward to your joining us with one heart in one accord (Acts 1:14) for 12 hours from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM (Israeli time), May 14-15. We will be interceding for the fulfillment of the promise for a worldwide revival in the end times (Acts 2:17) with the same fire that came upon the early disciples (Acts 2:1-4).

[Although we did not have an opportunity to advertise this event other than one small announcement, over 10,000 people or groups responded in this week alone! It seems God has something planned.]
